Dog walks in Victoria


State forests

Dogs are allowed in most of Victoria's State forests. At all times dogs must be under control and should not disturb wildlife or annoy other people.

South Gippsland. Won Won and Mullangdung State Forrest.
Agnes Falls & Toora Wind Generators Walhalla Goldfields Railway there  is another walk (Duff's sawmill track) you can do with your dogs on the other side of Tarra Bulga National park which is quite interesting.  There is also a small walk opposite the Fernholme Park, at Tarra Valley, along the river.



South Gippsland, Ninety Mile Beach-Woodside Beach (off-leash dog run beach all year round)


Game reserves

Dogs accompanying licensed hunters for the purpose of duck hunting are permitted in game reserves during duck-hunting season only provided they are under control and do not annoy other people. Dogs are not permitted in game reserves at any other time.

Phillip Island  Designated off leash area, off Graydens Road. Areas from Gossard Point to Mussel Rocks, dogs allowed on the beach on a leash between 7am and 10 am or 5pm and 8pm or anytime from 1st May till 30 November. Other areas are nature reserves, no dogs allowed ever.
