ACCESS AREAS FOR DOGS –
OFF-LEASH EXERCISE AREAS
Shoalhaven City Council understands that it’s necessary for the community’s dog owners to have access to suitable exercise and play facilities.
The 13 Off-Leash areas on council managed land provide dog owners the opportunity to enjoy their pet’s company for recreation and training without the restraint of a lead.
Outside council’s off-leash and dog prohibited areas, a dog may be taken onto any council managed reserve or public place providing it is kept on-leash. This restriction does not apply to police dogs or dogs used to assist people with disabilities. Please make use of these facilities – throw a frisbee, toss a ball – and get more out of your pet! If your dog is in any public place other than an approved off-leash area it must be under the effective control of a competent person by means of a chain, cord or leash.
To view maps of access areas go to – http://midi/shoalhaven2/council/sections/
